BACHELOR OF ARTS IN SANSKRIT

B.A. in Sanskrit is a 3-year undergraduate course in Sanskrit literature. It concerns itself with the field of Arts and covers areas of subject specialty, such as Sanskrit society, poetry, prose, drama, novels, grammar, etc. The course is also offered in the distance learning mode at some institutes in India. Sanskrit is the most ancient language of the world. All the Vedas and ancient texts of our country have been written in Sanskrit. Some of the words in Sanskrit have now gained position in the English dictionary as well.

Successful graduates of the course in India are offered an average monthly salary ranging between INR 15,000 to and 25,000.

ELIGIBILITY AND PROCEDURE FOR ADMISSION

The selection for admission to the program is merit based. For direct admission, student must have scored the percentage declared in the cut off list. In case of entrance test, the shortlist of candidates is prepared on the basis of performance in entrance test and some weightage is also given to the marks scored in 10+2 examination.
