BACHELOR OF SCIENCE IN APPLIED CHEMISTRY

Bachelor of Science in APPLIED CHEMISTRY or B.Sc. Applied Chemistry is a 3-year undergraduate course. The minimum eligibility criterion for which is the successful completion of 10+2 level of education in Science stream. B.Sc. Applied Chemistry admission is either based on entrance exams conducted by some institutions or merit based admission.

Chemistry is a field which has greatly contributed to the development. Therefore the course of applied chemistry covers a variety of chemical field, working on various materials including metal compounds, inorganic and organic compounds, polymers, proteins etc, doing basic researches and their applications.

The difference between applied chemistry and chemistry is that “Chemistry is the study of how atoms of elements can react (bond) with each-other to form molecules which constitute different compounds/substance/materials” while “Applied Chemistry is the use of knowledge produced by chemistry to solve specific problems or to achieve specific results”.

ELIGIBILITY FOR B.Sc. IN APPLIED CHEMISTRY

  • 10+2 in Science Stream.

  • Course duration – 3 years.

  • Minimum percentage required – 50%.

  • Age limit – 17 years and above.
