BACHELOR OF SCIENCE HONOURS IN CHEMISTRY

Bachelor of Science Honours in Chemistry or B.Sc. (Honours) Chemistry is a 3-year undergraduate course. The minimum eligibility criterion for which is the successful completion of 10+2 level of education in Science stream. B.Sc. (Honours) Chemistry admission is either based on entrance exams conducted by some institutions or merit based admission.

B.Sc. (Honours) Chemistry aims at developing advanced theoretical concepts and research skills and provide a platform for an advanced professional or academic career. In this program you will be provided with the opportunity to pursue an independent research project in an area of interest under the supervision of a professor.

The difference between B.Sc. Chemistry Honours and B.Sc. Chemistry is that B.Sc. Chemistry Honours is much more superior to the B.Sc. Chemistry. Academically B.Sc. Chemistry Honours is a more standard degree as compared to B.Sc. Chemistry. For the completion of B.Sc. Honours Chemistry degree, a student will have to write a dissertation but for a B.Sc. Chemistry this is not mandatory.

  • Minimum percentage required – 50%.
